Library Prep w/ the G.PREP NGS Automation & Twist Bioscience EF Library Prep Kit 2.0

Explore how G.PREP NGS Automation can automate the Twist Bioscience Enzymatic Fragmentation (EF) Kit 2.0 and reduces the need for costly pipette tips.

Did you know that you could automate 90% of the library prep process? Welcome to episode six of "Library Prep with the NGS Automation" that has the lowest barrier to entry: the G.PREP.

Today, we’re focusing on the Enzymatic Fragmentation (EF) Kit 2.0 by Twist Biosciences. It's designed for DNA fragmentation, which is a crucial step in next-generation sequencing (NGS) workflows. The EF Kit 2.0 provides an enzymatic approach to fragmenting DNA, offering several advantages over mechanical methods like sonication.

If you use this in your lab, watch below:

G.PREP NGS Automation is designed to provide miniaturization to any lab without the need for arduous research and development, even in environments with limited automation experience or programming knowledge.

The G.PREP is made up of two devices: the I.DOT Liquid Handler and the G.PURE NGS Clean-Up Device. The I.DOT allows anyone to dispense enzymes, buffers, and beads across a full 96- or 384-well plate in under 2 minutes with less than 1 microliter of wasted reagent volume (Table 1).
